help with NASCAR paintkit reqd

For those of you who use the NASCAR paintkit utility to paint the cars,
what graphics program do you use to edit the *.PCX files.  Are you simply
using the basic functions offered in Paintkit (I find this hard to
believe based on some of the excellent cars I have seen).

I have imported an existing *.PCX file (eg NASC94.PCX) into CorelDRAW,
added text, changed colours, etc, then exported to PCX format with all
settings the same (ie, 320x200 pixels, 256 colours, 300DPI).  When I'm in
Paintkit and I import the car, it looks like the colour palletts (sp?)
are not compatible, or have shifted.  That is; What was blue in
Corel, is now light brown,  Red becomes green, etc.

I have tried Windows Paintbrush and Photostyler with the same results.

Anyone have any suggestions??

Help is appreciated.  Thanks

i had the same problem when i made my car mainy of the colors just ended
up disappearing all together.  what i found works best is to use the
actual palette what came with the program.  if you need to before you
export the car, take one section of it and paint it every single color.
then when you use your paint program, just select the colors off that
part of the car.
