Can't comment specifically on the flat panel, but I bought one of PC
Worlds 99 19" PROVIEW CRT's and after trying 3 of them and finding all
3 to be the worst possible quality I've ever seen in a monitor I've
flagged PROVIEW as a brand to be avoided at *any* price.
(Poor colour, geometry, flickering, you name it they fell short)

Seconded, their CRT monitors are junk. You can't get proper picture
alignment on them (if you get it square, it's off-centre) and they're full
of bad solder joints, giving rise to all sorts of intermittent problems.
Avoid like the plague.

I third it... I had a 19in ProView CRT and although I thought the picture
quality was OK,  It lasted well under 2 years.

17" LG1710B.  20ms response time, 500-1 contrast ratio and NO smearing.
Lovely picture.
It has both DVI and Dsub inputs. Weighs virtually nothing and generates a
miniscule amount of heat as compared to a big CRT.
I like it.

Got it from Microdirect in Manchester

Great shop, if a little busy due to it being right in the middle of the
students area around Manchester Uni.
