Hello all you ICR-racers.
Is there anybody else out there who has been kinda sucked into a wall
in ICR.This has happened twice to me, first in Toronto and then in Australia.
I raced both these circuits, and I was leading at the time.I didn't crash in
the wall, though driving very close to it.All of a sudden I hear a sound of a
serious crash, and then I disappear into the wall.In Toronto there was a huge
cloud of dust in the air,and my screen went gray.In Australia I was literally
stuck inside the wall.I saved both these incidents,so if anybody wants to see
them, feel free to ask.
And, oh yes, I was using Indycar.exe vers. 1.04.

At least I am not the only one.  This has happened to me (I forget the track) several times.

Pretty interesting to watch a replay of this!

Anssi,

I have had that happen to me in Australia. When I checked the replay it
showed me crashinging into the edge of the pit wall and I ended up
inside the pits but stuck on the wall.

I have seen the "infield" at Laguna - somewhre way off the track.

A more bizarre experience: The game was glitching after I tried an
unproven
crack and while testing in Long Beach I had "local yellow" - my car
wouldn't
go faster than 100 in some areas of the track, and, which was kind of
cool,
tire smoke was*** around for several laps. I had smoke in every
corner,
fading really slowly. I reinstalled the game and never could repeat this
glitch.

Yes, you mentioned two tracks that have surprised me in this way also.  In
fact, I recorded replays of the anomalies and plan to send them up to our
sitre at didnt.doit.wisc.edu/Racing/ICR/Replays.  If you refer to your ICR
manuals, my incidcents occurred at Toronto in Turn 5, and at Australia near
the exit of the Pits, from the track side.

And I was using INDYCAR.EXE version 1.05.

Yeah, that's happened to me too (v1.05).  In fact, I've pretty much
"memorized" where there's program crashes occur, because they always
happen in the same general area.  For Australia, they occur somewhere
between the start-finish line and the end of pit road.  In Laguna, it
happens when entering Turn 9, the left-hander after the Corkscrew.
When I checked the replays, it seems like I drive along kinda normal,
then there's one graphic frame of greenish-gray, and the next frames
I'm doing 360s, spinning uncontrollably.  Other times, the program
crashes actually throw me out of the ICR program.  Oh, well.

I have only had two experiences of this sort, and they both occured during
race.  I've never had a problem in practice (and I've logged significantly
more hrs in practice than race).  At the end of the first straight in
Toronto, I bounced off the wall at many, many times the velocity that I
"brushed" the wall, at an angle that defied the laws of physics.  At
Michigan I was brushed off the track and onto the infield without warning
or provocation.  I contacted Papyrus with the details, and they told me
this was know as "The Hand Of God Bug."  Has any one else contacted
Papyrus about this and what was their response?

Thanks All (I'm going to Mid-Ohio on Friday and Sunday this year! Hurray)

Twice at Laguna I've been going up the hill before the corkscrew and was
instantly transported out into the grass on the other side of the
grandstand, spinning madly.  After stopping the spin, I was able to drive
back, right through the grandstand, and back onto the track.
