Sounds like you run the ovals! Here are some steps to take to reduce
the temps in the right-front tire:
1) To reduce skidding in the turns, increase front wing (skidding
causes BIG temp increases)
2) Soften front shocks/increase rear shocks to make the rear "looser"
and cause more of an oversteer condition.
3) Check to make sure you have even tire temps across the tire. If
not, work on tire pressures/camber to achieve it.
4) Don't try and run a soft or medium tire on the right front on ovals!
A hard tire is ALWAYS necessary IMHO. The optimum temp = 260 for Hard
and I will let it go up to 270 degrees on a full tank.
5) Lower front sway bars/increase rear sway bars
I believe that a smooth driving style is MOST important to holding down
RF tire temps. They just can't take a lot of skidding around the turns.
If you can hear the car skidding.....then adjust your setup/driving to
eliminate it. A car that doesn't skid in the oval's turns is the way to
go.
