I need help using scanned images for painting..

I am trying to use scaned images and ones found on the net for my
car..i tried using lview to cut and paste them onto my car but it
screws up when i import it into paintkit..

The pics probably have too many colours in them for paintkit to handle.. if you
can dither them down to use the Paintkit palette they should work then.

I can't name a program that will allow you to do this offhand right now.. maybe
someone else has done it?

   Try using PaintShop Pro by JASC. That could possibly work??
    You can download PaintShop Pro at http://www.jasc.com. It is
shareware and has a 30 day trial period.

I've been using Neopaint myself.  It will adjust the palette of the image
to the palette of the image that is being edited.  It will need some
touchup but it's a starting point anyway.
