N2: CD-Audio.

by Steve Sarl » Tue, 24 Jun 1997 04:00:00

I'm having trouble playing an Audio CD while playing N2.  I run from
Win95's "command prompt only" boot-up.  When N2 loads it allways tries to
run from the CD and that shuts off any CD that I have playing at the time.
Do any of you have any idea of how to change this?  Or am I just stuck with
it?

I think it tries to run the intro from the cd.  You can rem out the
smackplay (or something like that) line from the N2.bat file and it
won't try to play the intro, but still no guarantee on the rest of the
game not checking the cd and killing your music.

Actually, I think for multiplayer it does check to see if the N2 cd is
installed (host must have cd inserted) at launch of the game.

Anybody else have an idea?

I've done that and it still kills the CD-Audio.  For some reason it will
still check the CD right after it says "Running from drive C:".  Seems odd
to me.
