Hi

Has anybody tried, or know of anyone who has tried to create the Nurburgring
track for GP3? I mean the Nordschliefe, not the current piece of ***that
the modern racers use.

I could be wrong, but I think the GP3 engine limits the
the possible track size.

Not only is it a bit too long for GP3 but the old GP3 engine which is still
based on the old GP1 engine don't forget will not be able to depict the
camber properly. GP3 just would not be able to acuratley depict the twisty
turny nature of the circuit.

If you want to drive the ring there is only one option that doesn't involve
traveling to Germany and endangering ones life and that's Grand Prix
Legends.

what about the affect on the cars as well, surely the cars wouldnt be
able to cope with the bottoming out on the few banked corners and
other nasties on the circuit. or ?

I'd think it would be really difficult for an F1 car with it's low ride
height. imagine going round the carousel!

However the fastest lap was in a Porsche 956 group c racer driven by the
late Stefan Bellof  in 6m30s and those rode really low aswell.
