Obviously, there are. I don't use Fraps but I have and never thought it did
captures. I thought it just gauged frames per second.

For screen capturing, I've always used SnagIt.

Fraps captures both still screenshots and video, as well as being a
frame rate counter and benchmarking tool. It's pretty good and well
worth the AUS$47. The free version will also let you quite a bit if you
don't want to spend the $$$

Are you looking for screenshot captures or video captures?

Press the print screen key then paste it into your favourite photo
editing prog.
