The worl of online racing is getting bigger and bigger every day now. More
and more people are racing for fun and more are racing for serious cash and
prizes. With all this come more and more people that have'nt got a clue on the
physics of racing. Maybe someone could come out with a SIM that'll teach the
physics and the do's and don'ts of racing?
I have three computers setup with a LAN. Myself and two brothers are having
a blast every now and then playing Quake2 against each other. The game is
starting to get a bit boring because it only takes one shot to kill someone,
then we run someplece else only to get another lucky shot and kill him again,
ect... So, i went to the local Comp. USA store and baught another game that we
might play and have fun at; "MS Combat Flight Simulator". I figured it would be
easy to fly a plain and the chalang would come from the airobatics to kill or
not to be killed. I was wrong. The challang comes from learning just how to
take off the run way;-(
In that Sim, there is a Teaching mode. A guys voice comes over the radio
telling you what to do going through the check list. Telling you to throttle up
to a spicific rpm and manifold pressure, Take off, trimm the allerons, re-do
the manifold pressure, ect, ect, If a teaching model can be incorporated in a
flight Sim, I can only assume that such a concept could be incorporated in a
racing Sim. prefurably in a Driving school Sim sold seperatly.
I've read many posts here in R.E.C NG and TENs NG. All those posts are very
imformative, But, lack the in car instructions.
