later Caterham models?
I have GPL, F1C and N2k3 for mods.
Racer is also an option.
Feel is more important than eye candy.
Thanks for any pointers.

LFS is a pretty good sim if you can live with its two shortcomings, the
'fantasy' car names and tracks (stupid trademark laws) and the on-line
only, hardware-tied distribution and anti-copy protection scheme.
HTH,
Mr. Sylvestre
3, lack of support for onboard AC97 sound.
Hmm, I played LFS with onboard AC97 with no problems.
cheers

Thanks for the pointer, but the truth is I've owned LFS S1 since its
release and didn't mention it on purpose since its LX4 and LX6 models are
what I'm unhappy with. How does LFS' modeling of these compare to a
real 7's handling? Are they really that twitchy and eager to oversteer?
The LFS models just seem a bit exaggerated.
I've never driven a 7 and therefore have nothing to compare LFS to.

There are so many variations on the Lotus 7 theme that I'm sure some
are.
Lots of horsepower and a driver location nearly on top of the very
light rear end would seem to be an ideal starting recipe for oversteer
;)
True, true.
Last night I found a setup for LFS' LX4 that works well and removes about
80% of the wandering and nearly all of the undesirable oversteer. On RSC
in the LFS forum and LX4 Setups sub forum, user "forbin" posted his LX4
setup called "GrippyLX". It makes this car fun to drive, not a chore.
I also found a Caterham R500 model for Racer on the racer-xtreme
files site but I've not tried it out.
cheers,

They thought the car oversteered quite badly at first, but then they
realised it was just because they were sitting so much further back in
the rear engined chassis then they were used to that they felt it more
acutely.
Real or sim? That's -exactly- how I felt when I first drove the Panoz in
SCC.

Some one is making one for F1C. I think the Beta is out.

An other project got canned. Don't go to the Caterham sub folder in rscnet
its dead.

Thanks for the pointer, I'll keep an eye on it.
