I'd give it a 8.5 and only because it does not have enough cars ,enough
tracks or pit stops. If it had 20 cars 15 tracks and pitstops  I would
give it a 9.5. Even so, it's one hell of a sim.  I have not had so much
fun since GP2. Paul

*** Review on Viper...

Viper is the sleeper of the season.  It is a great racing
game, especially with force feedback.  If you liked the
demo, this game is a MUST purchase.  And, I for one, wish to
thank Sierra for offering it at such a reasonable purchase
price.  The rebate offer is simply over the top...

When you do buy it, run a few quick races.  Then stop.
Spend all the rest of your non-multiplayer time in the
career mode.  (I haven't tried multiplayer yet, but I will)
Advance from stock to club to pro and ultimately to gt
class.  All the while, you'll be adapting to various
different parts combinations on your Viper and various
different tracks.  Choose your upgrades wisely...

Some of the tracks are exceedingly difficult.  Some are
pretty straightforward.  A couple of the tracks are an
absolute joy to run (Castlegreen and Sunset Mesa).

My only gripe with Viper involves the minimal grip realized
during excessive wheelspin.  The icy grip levels make
performing 180 style maneuvers and relatively slow speed
fish tails on and off the pavement very difficult.

Notwithstanding the tremendous waste of *** involved, I
really wanted to drive the simulated Viper consistently at
opposite lock much like I used to do in an offroad race car.
Unfortunately, thus far I have not been able to do that.

In my experience,  recovery from a fishtail in any car
moving 10-20 mph with the rear wheels spinning (in classic
burnout fashion), is and should be far easier than recovery
in that same car at 100+ mph with the rear wheels spinning.
But, I don't feel a real difference in the simulation.  As a
result, at high AND low speeds with this sim, opposite lock
is something one must dance carefully around.

Still, on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being horrible and 10 being
awesome) I give this one a 9 (8 for gameplay +1 for the low
price).

I accidently did that one and thought i blew a gear out the front of the
car. What
is the key to send a soccer ball flying in VIper Racing?
