Announced release date is JANUARY !

There was a introduction of F1GP2 at Supergames on a wide screen (with
BIG speakers...) (hey... forget the F1GP 1 intro...)...

AND there was also a demo , a workable demo (you know, something you
can play with.).

Well, as it were told earlier, the game doesn't seem that smooth...
(forget the 25fps  (or more) of F1GP1 in VGA mode). Quiet
disappointed... I hope that I have seen an (very) old pre-version
alpha-and-beta (as they don't want to make a demo...).
Yep, I forgot to tell you that the demos were running on Pentium 75
machines. (damn... is Destruction Derby smooth on P5-75?)

Now, I realize that I forgot to watch a lot of thing (cars, processor
occupancy (if available)...). Shit. (yes, but I was Disgusted...)

Disgusted because I really like F1GP1...

I think I won't buy this game as long as I won't see the final
version...

Well.... I think it's time to go back and play Need For Speed (yep,
not the same kind of simulators, but it's smooth in SVGA)...

                                BYE.

PS: Virtual Kart should be available this week... (in France...)

The demos were running on Hp Vectra 500 P75. In VGA, full detail,
the fps rate was around 14 (estimated by the demo itself), and the
processor occupancy (still available) was around 125% ....

SVGA was not available... try to guess why !

The graphics and the car behaviour have been improved, and the
driving feeling is great. It will be the *94* season.
A detail: your car "jumps" when off-roading in the sand areas, like
        the real F1.

The sound was the same than in F1GP.

They told me VK should be released the 20th of december (in France).

Same?? Maybe this had something to do with the delay as far as release
date. Thoughts??

As I've described on the GP2 home page
(http://www.mal.com/~dgymer/gp2/home.htm) MPS have put out a video
(Quicktime) clip of GP2 on the cover CD of PC Zone (January 96 issue).
Graphics look great but the sound is indeed identical to F1GP.

I read in a British PC magazine (PC Sports) that VGA mode has been abandoned and that
the game will only play in SVGA as it is so smooth. I sure can't believe this but I can
believe that it is SVGA only so it must be reasonably playable.
Let's pray!

Don't believe a magazine, believe Microprose!
