improvements to Leo and Shannon's Car Page. I got rid of the background,
and replaced it with a plain, white one. I also made a new, more colorful
logo, with a button bar at the top of each page that lets you jump from
page to page quickly. I also added a short introduction, since I've had a
couple of people find the page by one of those random urls, and not have a
clue what the page is about.
Sorry, but I had to get rid of the ratings. I'd get in about one a day,
put them into the spreadsheet, calculate the average of each, print them
out, and then go back through all 70 cars, over 210 links, and update the
ratings. I was spending about three hours a week just on the ratings, and
I'd rather spend that doing something better with the page.
I was not able to add previews of the cars though. My internet provider,
Mindspring, only allows its users' web pages to have so much bandwidth,
and I'm already going a "little" :-) over what I'm supposed to.
I didn't get in many good cars this week. I heard from Doug Powell, who
sent me his newest creation, a Doritos car. Another designer with two Car
of the Weeks ...
The other car I added was a Xerox car, by Daniel Coleman. It's also a
very good car, that I'd suggest downloading.
Thanks!
Leo Singleton
