NASCAR 2 is Missing Manual

Well:

I sort was expecting this after the One Two Punch
Papyrus gave us with NASCAR 1 deal.  We got a
decent manual and than someone figured they could
make a few more bucks $19.99 by writing the:

Lee Buchanan's  OFFICAL NASCAR Strategies & Secrets
        for NASCAR 1.

Well now we get this thing called a Manual for NASCAR 2 that
has about half the information that we got in NASCAR 1.  Maybe
we are supposed to use the NASCAR 1 manual as a preliminary
manual that leads into the NASCAR 2 manual, go figure.

All I got to say is LEE lets get that:

OFFICIAL GUIDE TO THE GAME FROM PAPYRUS FOR
NASCAR 2 off the press, $39.99.  And make sure you
grab somemore of those free COMPUSERVE
freeware programs for our new CD-ROM's.

We all need the help figuring the NASCAR 2 DEAL OUT!!!!!!!

Thanks

Actually, I have been using Lee Buchanan's Nascar 1 book to get tips on
how to run fast at Nascar2.  I've gotten much quicker that way.  Many of
the tracks are so similar that the old tips work fine.  Lee got paid
once, and I see no need to pony up again!

Is it just me, or are 9 out of 10 of your posts anti-Papyrus since they tried to ban you from
the NRL?

Get over it.

What exactly about the NASCAR2 manual is fuzzy? There is some stuff
in the manual that did not make it to the game, but the manual
still explains how to run the game...

Well, I knew it would come to this.  Some folks have tried so hard to
focus on the shortcomings of the game that now they're picking on the
manual.  I happen to think the manual is awesome; it's about three times
as thick as the manual I got with the new MS Flight Sim or the manual I
got with Windows 95.  It has more info from a real NASCAR expert, Bobby
Labonte, who is also an avid player of NASCAR 2.  Heck, some games
depend on a secondary tips manual for basic info, at least Papyrus tried
to put everything necessary in there from the start!

Just what is your problem Don? If you dont like the sim, please send it
back and get a refund. Then do us a favor and quit your ***ing. I hope I
have not offended you, the CHOSEN one.
Thanks for your time.

The questions I've seen online posted by new users generally fall into
three areas:

1)  They haven't read the manual (ie. "why can't I adjust the fuel
level?"
2)  Known bugs that Papyrus is aware of.

3)  Changes made in the game after the manual went to print.

And yes, the N1 manual used Dave Marcis, as well as Joe Nemechek, Elton
Sawyer and Geoff Bodine (the latter two being in the track pack manual).
However, BL's input is more prevalent this manual, and I have found his
comments to be particularly helpful.  I don't know if the other guys
played the game much, but I know Bobby is an avid fan and Hawaii
competitor.

Yes, but how many of those posts would be handled if these people
actually *RTFM*?!?

* Why can't I start with less than 22 gallons? (p 144)

* Why is the sound so quiet?  I've got everything to 100% (p 29)

* How do I load a drivers picture? (README)

etc...
