Has anybody come up with a way to fix this spotter's message. At Indy
in N2 if there's a wreck. the spotter refers to every place on the track
as "down there".

Yes, I believe Julian Data has come up with the fix for this problem.

That still doesn't completely fix it.  I intentionally caused a wreck, got
to the pits
to fix the damage, and what do I hear but "The pace car is in the esses"
along
with "The pace car is coming out of the esses"

Needless to say, it still needs work.  I thought maybe by copying other
values
from a similar sized track (Michigan, Atlanta) might work, but Michigan's
values
didn't.  <sigh>

says...
well i have played with the vals around a bit in indy and figured out how it
works. add these two lines to your indy.txt and you will have spotter to all 4
straights and in all turns. works perfect i tested it for nearly 2 hours.
man crash after crash, but spotter allways told right position.
