My LWFF lasts about 20 laps in NR2002 then the FF goes away and it then
sucks to drive. It's really aggrivating when it happens on-line. Does not
occur in any other sims, f12001, gpl, gp3.
I have the latest logitech drivers installed.
Anyone else experience anything like this?
Any fixes? Is it time for a Momo?
Thanks
Rik

Just a shot in the dark.  You tried turning the strength down in the
controller options menu?

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the
citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a
double-edged sword. It both emboldens the ***, just as it narrows the
mind.  And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the
*** boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no
need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry,
infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their
rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I
have done. And I am Caesar."   -- Julius Caesar

Yea, I thought of that, I'll try it again though.

Ok, check this out- in my profiler I have 2 versions pointing to 1) the
nocd.exe, and 2) the multiplayer exe.
In my profiler I had the global preferences set to 150% but not checked for
globality (is that a word?).
For multiplayer i had strength at 125%. and for nocd i had strength at 100%.
I changed all these to 100%, then in the game changed the strength to 90%.
I just did a 27 lapper at Kansas with no problems. Yea!
We shall see if it holds. I guess some is better than none!
Thanks Fester.

This has been a common problem with all of Papy sims. It did it in N3 NL and
N4 for me. I got to the point I quit using FF. The common thought is that
the wheel over heats and shuts down. There must be something different in
the FF code that Papy does compared to everyone else.

I honestly never ever experienced this in any papy sim with my lwff
and momo.. but I allways set my ff quite low, so that I just feel what
the car is doing, without the ff actually getting in the way.
At what level do you set the ff in the windows joystick applet and
in-game?

I think the big "***" for this problem is the centering spring. I like
light FF effects but I like a heavy wheel. Your 100% right that its in the
settings. I usally leave the Wingman software stock other than enabling the
centering force. Now that I think it about it 99% of the FF wheels seem to
be gear driven, like the MOMO, but the LWFF was cable maybe thats why it
seemed to effect the older one more. I have not heard of this being a
problem with the MOMO.

You have the centering spring off right in Papy sims? Very important!!
Also set that strength of springeffect value to 0.
If you use centre spring in papy sims it masks the subtle ff effects..

So it's either good ff or a heavy wheel feeling..

I too like the heavy wheel feeling.....it keeps me from making too many
mistakes!

Yeah same here. Its to easy to over do it with the small diameter wheel that
most controllers have. I'm finding the larger range of motion on the MOMO to
be a plus over the original Formula Force.
