Could Sierra explain this ?

The information from E3 is dissappointing, extremely. It seems to me
instead of wasting time, effort, and money on LoN (N50) the should proceed
towards a fantastic N3! Don't get me wrong, LoN sounds good, I attended
Riverside in the 60's and loved it. So I wouldn't mind seeing both but
why not  get one out first and use it to give you the second. In this
case I don't see the "divide and conquer" thing working. I'm lost...
WTF?  I recently reformatted and reloaded my system and GPL was the only
driving sim I reinstalled. Sorry to say but N2/N99,GP2,SCGT etc.etc are
on the shelf.  The news on Trans Am wasn't too good either (if?).

Before everybody gets all alarmed, there ARE other physics models out
there that lend themselves well to a NASCAR-type simulation.  Have any
of you heard of "Viper Racing," by chance?  Any idea what MGI's been
working on lately?  This is pure speculation on my part, but it sounds
like a natural to me -- which doesn't sound all that bad, actually.

I should have added that Viper is another sim sitting on the shelf. This
would make a decent engine for N3 with some serious tweaking, second only to
GPL in some respects. In fact if Viper had some more RACING tracks and more
cars in a race it would be damn good. But until more info on specifically
what physics engine N3 and I suppose LoN are based on I will simply hope for
the best... but prepare for the worst. I have faith in papy but not sierra.
Bunch of friggin suits that think what looks good on paper is something to
follow blindly without thought.

I am revoking my last statement as I have read the simracing.com
article again and Remarq does not allow cancels. All I can say now is
that I seriously hope this Director of Sierra Sports doesn't really
know what he is talking about.
