I'll like to know have fast other people can drive at Hockenheim, during
qualifying I can get into the low 1.45's but that isn't enough to be on
the front row. No matter what I try and can't go any faster. I have
tried changing almost everything, wings, antiroll, brakes, suspension,
ride high(it helps, but not for long, the engine breaks down) etc.
Please help me.

I just got a 1:43:993 and that put me on pole on semi-pro mode. Let us
know and I'll send you the setup [but I don't want any of this 'me
too' lark!!].

BTW. Has anyone noticed how bad Schumacher is at Hockenheim [in GP2 I
mean ;-) ]

Ive done 1:43.892 in Practice mode. VERY little downforce and stiff springs. Reduced ride
height and long gearing too.

Learn those chicanes!  Setting up the car will take you so far, then you
have to do the rest yourself.  I went from 1:44.787 to 1:43.343 by
changing my approach & exit from the chicanes and infield section.
Practice, practice, practice ...

I did a 1m43s531 a week ago at ace level. No wings and a lot of packers.
And indeed learn those chicanes, especially the Ost-Kurve-chicane (the 2nd
that is).
