I believe the Coventry is labeled Cooper in GPL.  something about licensing

There are 7 cars in GPL

Lotus
Eagle
Ferrari
Brabham (or Repco)
BRM
Coventry  (is a fake name, due to license isues, should be Cooper)
Murasama (also fake, should be Honda)

If you don't get all 7, maybe you've installed a third party add-on?
BTW, I can recommend Patrick's sound patch, see Alison Hine's GPL news
page for detials. (Link available on VROC main page). Also, check out
the carset of Joe Lafrite(sp?) at

(sometimes you've to try more then once to get in)

And, did you do the Ring under 1 hour yet? :-)

I have seen references to the me using the Coventry car, but in GPL I
don't have a listing for the Coventry car.
There's Eagle, Ferrari, BRM, Lotus, and the Brahiem car, but I see no
choice for a Coventry..
Which car is that?

Yes, I downloaded and installed the GPL Superpatch from The Pits which
changed the name's to Cooper and Honda (more realism) I just wasn't
aware of the name change.

As I have the "original cars" patch the Coventry is now the Cooper
(and Murasama is now the Honda) but as I remember both are listed
without any special input in the original installation. My assumption
is you are looking in Player Info and are cycling through the car/team
selection, right? Wish I could be of more help but i'm in my office
and I don't have GPL installed here. Not enough room on my desk as my
TM FLCS/TQS (For Falcon 4.0) takes up a lot of space! LOL

I'll look when I get home. Possibly if you look at Team info its
different, and as Sierra didn't have rights to Cooper and Honda the
info isn't there?

BTW (anyone reading this) , I will be hosting some 8-10 (on a cable
modem) player races on VROC for the guys hovering around 1:10 at
Watkins Glen this week, as there are a lot of us. These will be Pro
Short (Full realistic damage) with a 15-30 minute practice sessions.
Let me know if you are up for it...

Also I've noticed that you are having problems running the demo with
Windows 98.  I was unable to get the original demo to work consistently
with Win98, but rest assured, the actual game works fine.
