Farewell, my friends...

Farewell, my friends...

by Paul L. Finnemor » Thu, 15 Aug 1996 04:00:00

To all of you who have responded helpfully and politely to my articles,
I would just like to say a fond farewell. In the time I have been
frequenting this group, I have gained a great deal of information and
help that I otherwise would have missed. There are some great people
here, and it has been a pleasure to be acquainted with you.

There are, however, a growing number of inconsiderates intent on posting
irrelevant, abusive, offensive or illegal articles. I tire of ploughing
my way through the increasing quantities of rubbish to find the
occasional nugget of worth. I fear that at the moment, downloading the
r.a.s. newsgroup is no longer worth the phone bill.

To that end, I am withdrawing from this forum indefinitely. To those
that remain, I wish you luck in trying to get r.a.s. back on track. I
only regret that I no longer have the time nor enthusiasm to join you.

So, until we meet again, a fond farewell...

regards,

Paul.

Come on, this isn`t what we need!  This is exactly what these people
are after.  Why should we let them ruin what is a friendly and helpful
group?  If we ignore them they will enventually go away (cliche I know
but it does work).  Or you could a newsreader with kill files.  Don`t
let these people spoil your enjoyment!

Mark
