Verdict on test drive 4

Why do some of these games companies
still not know how to build in adequate
controller support Test Drive 4 is another
example of programmers who don't know
the difference between a PC and a Playstation.

Apart from poor controller support
(No support for joystick B and no
controller customization) the game itself
is not too bad. I am running the native
3dfx glide version so the graphics look
mighty good and the framerates are
smooth on my P233mmx system.

However, if you have a 3dfx card and are
looking for the best product in this category
then look no further than NFS2-SE from
Electronic Arts. This latest incarnation
is absolutely perfect in every way.
Nothing can touch it. Trust me on this one.

Well, id HSF2SE had openended tracks like NFS; and cops, like NFS; and
wasn't a basic pretty rehash of NFS2, I'd more than likely buy it.. As
for now, I'm happy with my original NFS..

Unless you own a 3DFX card, you won't get much from buying NFS2SE.

i agree totally. NFS2 really sucks compared to NFS1. btw, what are traffic
cars (very few of them btw) doing on closed circuit courses in nfs2?   as
for test drive 4, it's pretty weak: pathetic controller support, the music
is turned back on each time you launch even after you disable it, and the
controller defaults back to a gamepad each time you launch it. what kind of
loser plays racing games with a gamepad? what a shame after licensing some
very classic cars. Accolade has desecrated some of America's finest
automobiles in this horrid game. for a better racing experience you might
want to try one of these: nfs1, motoracer, nascar2, gp2, and monster truck
madness.

I would like to say, that some people out there don't have the money to blow on
some stupid wheel to make it feel more realistic. The gamepad works just fine.
I am not a loser just because I don't have a wheel, and I could probally beat
you with my gamepad. Don't be so ignorant.
