All,

I am new to the newsgroup and I'm sure I will get blasted for this, but
what is with all of the bashing I see here?  I have to admit that I like a
forum for expressing one's opinions, but mainly I see people going after
things like NASNET, someone called YMenard, and thrashing Papyrus.

Are things that bad out there?  I want Daytona, I'm sure Papyrus wants
Daytona,  we all want to go faster on our sims, but how can all of this
help?

IMHO, if people are taking the sims further by adding options like carsets,
tracks, and tips, we all gain.  Can't we all just get along?

Ymenard...well he's this French Canadian who claims he leads this
newsgroup, nobody can stand it.

People complain about NASNET (NRO) because it won't come soon enough.

We could, but certain folks here have to realize that the world does not
revolve around what they want.  Express likes, dislikes and suggestions
freely; If you don't like something, say it once, get over it and move
on.

People who have to resort to foul language in order to make their point,
have no point as far as I'm concerned.  It only shows the age or IQ of
the one spewing obscenities.

Well said, Michael.

God Bless,
Steve

Michael,

I don't understand why you would be shocked by what you read here. For
the most part people here do get along. I know that I've gained
immensely from what's been posted here. However, I do feel that I have
the right to express my opinion whether any or all agree or disagree.
Some people here leave themselves wide open for the bashing they get.
Making asinine and idiotic statements. Just like in the real world if
you act like a moron you get treated like one. I don't resort to using
foul language I just try to express how I feel. I would hope that you
would do the same. Welcome.

Except us Canadians, we're used to it ... our Prime Ministers are
usually French Canadian and claim to lead this country (usually with
about as much grace as ymenard).   ;-)

'Bout time people learned of the Quebec "problem" that ymenard demonstrates
so aptly!

NASNET and NRO are two entirely different things.

Heya Folks,

I've been sitting back here, just watching the roll of the bull so to
speak. Mike here has a very very good point...this NG is supposed to be
for discussions on siom racing, plain and simple...not diatribes about
what this person or that person is like or should be or whatever OR what
is going on at specific web sites or groups. This place is for talking
about sim-racing, not about people...let's talk about the sim and help
each other get better...god knows I learned a lesson in my first offline
race ever...my pathetic finish has me digging for help everywhere...

So let's all wake up, and start talking about what we have, and how WE
can get better at it. (I say this to hopefully avoid the useless papy
bashing that would fill in here)

I started posting here..and tehn I saw things happen..and I stopped
posting, because I didn't see a good reason to lower myself that far...

Well Mike, thank you for the breathe of fresh air...

I guess the same can be said of people who say "God bless".

There's nothing wrong with an ongoing rational discussion.  It forces people
to THINK sometimes. :)
I *do* agree about needless foul language, though.  I may occasionally use it,
but I don't use it as the entire substance of the message - unlike some...
