WRC for PS2

My boys have a PS2 and I usually only take part when they want a second player
or to get them through a tough track in GT3.  I decided to pick up WRC (World
Rally Championship) for myself and check it out.  It has a great***pit view
unlike most PS2 driving titles.  Quite fun!

Only problem I have is that I can't get it so take advantage of our Logitech
"Driving Force" PS2 wheel.  The manual says it supports a wheel, but I can't
figure it out.  Best I can come up with is that I have the newest iteration of
the Logitech wheel and there's something different inside that is causing the
problem.  Funny thing is that when the game is booting - the wheel moves around
(just like on the PC) so I know there's communication.

Any idea's?

LOL - Thanks Gunnar.  You helped me figure out how much of a dumbass I am.  I
plugged my Momo into the PS2 and then realized in the controller setup there
were more options than I originally thought.  Arrow to the right and there was
the option for the wheel!  Hehe.  I'm off to Portugal.  You the man :)

BTW - my PS2 Logitech wheel works too.  I hear that WRC2 looks pretty good.
Console ***'s not so bad!

I bought WRC for the PS2 and it is a disappointment. Yes the graphics
are pretty and the replay camera's movements are neat, but the physics
model is lacking. I guess Mobil 1 RC and Rally Trophy have me spoiled.

and again I have to ask; how come a Rally Game where 300hp cars can't
accellerate past 50 km/t in a 10 degree uphill slope is in such high
regard?

Because it's the only one with stages of any length?  Because you can
tweak the physics to make it at least a little better?

In all honesty though, Mobil 1/RC2000 (I assume that's what you meant)
does seem a bit like the GP4 of Rally sims.  Someone on RAS (I think)
once said (paraphrasing) "GP4 is not a good simulation of driving a
Grand Prix car, it's a simulation of what it would be like if you were
a good Grand Prix driver"  RC probably falls into a similar category -
the immersion seems to outweigh the flaws.
The reason I think RC gets a pass is because there is no other game
out there with real-length stages (as opposed to F1-200x vs. Gp4), and
it doesn't have the glaring deep down faults like Gp4's PO system.  It
also wasn't hyped up like Gp4.

Wondering what we'll see first - a CART sim, a *real* WRC rally sim,
or West Racing Legends ;).
