Grass really is slippery!

I remember reading about how some people couldn't believe that the grass
was so slippery in GPL and asked if it was realistic. People replied that
it was indeed slippery. The proof came this past weekend when I was watching
the NASCAR DIHARD race this past weekend on television and the first
accident seemed to have been caused by a driver going onto the grass! The
car went onto the grass, the driver tried to turn back onto the track and
side slipped right in front of the other cars. Of course the other cars
saw this and braked really hard, but that didn't help some of them.

Boy, I've done this more times than not in GPL. It's funny that the sim
is becoming more real in my eyes than when I first started driving that
sim.

Having not played GPL, how does the adhesive qualities of the grass in ICR2
compare with GPL?

lolol

icr2 grass was kinda like the racetrack if you drove carefully, if you were
wide open you could put wheels on the grass and make it out without a
problem, in gpl you will NOT make it out without at LEAST a frightening
twitch.

IMO opinion the adhesive, slipperyness of the grass in GPL is the best in any sim.
In Viper the car will have an epileptic fit if you so much as touch the grass, in
TOCA and SCGT the grass is a combination of sticky and slippery. Sure grass
doesn't have the same properties as tarmac but it's not made of anti-matter.
Cheers,
Paul
