A 16mb Voodoo Banshee will do nicely for about $90. Some brands before
rebate others after. Supports opengl, direct3d (directx) and glide.
Get a 12 MB Voodoo2 or 16 MB Banshee card. I can't imagine you've seen
32 MB 3Dfx cards, since neither V2 nor Banshee can access more than 16
(12 for V2) MB of memory (AFAIK).

You should know that the NR1999 game is a 2d game. The graphics are probably
2- 2 1/2 year old designs that only smooth out a little using anti-aliasing on
voodoo or rendition video cards. Your CPu is powerful enough to run the game
at its ful 30fps with most/all graphics turned on even with the ati rage video
card. How many other car's sounds do you hear. The audio processing in nr19
and n2 take some cpu horseower, perhaps if you have too many heard, you should
turn that down to 8 or so. That's what i have ona p166 and I max the frame
rate out at 30 fps.
However, I'd vote for you to get a cheap voodoo2 card and add it on your system
to your exisiting video card. The Voodoo2 will display better nr1999 graphics
and do a better job even at direct 3d games than the ati as well as being very
compatible with other glide games, where the banshee sometimes has problems.
If you don't mind entirely replaing the ati, and perhaps dealing with some
problems with the bashee, then go get a cheap banshee agp.
