confused is the poster of most of the warez files at this moment.  When I
looked there were probably dozens of chunks of one file.  He is uploading
full cd's that his newsgroup program breaks down into manageable pieces.  I
guess your newsreader handles the collection of subjects differently.
We have been trying to add to the confusion by renaming files to resemble
his topics..I haven't done a very good job of that..but most of the alldata
stuff are the warez files.  if it's alldata with an attachment, that's
probably a raser.

Just adding to the "confusion" as we speak :-), not sure if it's going
to trick anyone, but if they DL the "larger" CD7, they're getting my
complete collection of car vids that I have on my home PC, when that's
done I've got a few more on this PC that'll go up as CD8 or whatever

And yes, I've changed my name to Confused for the occasion

Must be ntl's news server then. My main news server (news.cis.dfn.de)
doesn't handle binaries. I tried ntl's server, but that usually times out on
me.
Oh well, I guess I can still upload some ***if it helps. How about Nascar
Revolution ;)  ?

Every bit helps, especially if you rename it "Chrys8.part03.rar and
break it up into 300kb files, if you also change your posting name to
"Confused" and put "Alldata Chrysler Green CD8" as the
subject.....that's what I do :-) and that's the warez file that is being
uploaded as we speak

fun. Be sure to let me know if you need any reposts (even if it is of
everything) ;-)

I think he sends them out automatically, so reposting would be a good
thing...I spent yesterday watching the F1 race and occaisionally turning
around and hitting the send button again..

You do realize this is about as bad an idea as upping warez, right?  Your
provider tends to take a dim view to usenet vandalism, which is what you are
doing and promoting.  It might be for what you forsee as a good cause, but it
still could result in you losing your usenet service.  Just wanted you to know
so you can decide if it's worth it.

BTW, did you report the poster there to his news service provider for posting
off-topic binary floods?

And just how is is a "bad idea" to upload ON TOPIC files, as opposed to what
Mr. Dazed and Confused is doing?

Sorry, I do not agree.

Great.  And you can go ahead an keep on not agreeing as you look for new
usenet and/or internet service.  Posting on-topic is fine, posting using
misleading file names and spoofing others' user names is not.  Again, you
might be fine, you might not, but you're opening yourself up to getting nailed
for TOS abuse, which hardly seems worth it to me.  Stick with on-topic floods
and report the off-topic crap.
