Erm.. let's say you smash a car with 305 kmh to a concrete wall!
Can anyone tell me (someone with a hightech technical background)
why I only break up my nose, and why I can continue my race?

A more informative answer would run as follows:

Try changing the Artificial Idiot driving ability to Ace, then try a little
wheel to wheel fun at 180mph...

So I take it that you dont believe that there were any rain races in
the 1994 Grand Prix Season or do I understand that you are saying that
realism be damned. Oh I understand you only know how to spell BLAW
This sim is terrific, well besides the stupid interface, the damaged
damage model and the lack of rain. But lets not hear anyone call this
or any other sim modeling F1 that lacks rain realistic. Its great fun
but its not realistic.

I have had my car destroyed hitting the wall at that speed in "rookie"
level.  I mean the parts fly and the engine dies.  I noticed that in
rookie level I could hit the wall at moderate speeds (50-60mph) and
not sustain damage.  This does not seem to be the case when I went to
"semi-pro" level.  I believe the damage model becomes more realistic
as you move toward "PRO" level.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Cheers

No. Incorrect.  I tried to hurt my car in Ace and it was just as difficult.
Of course, I didn't damage it by hitting other cars. They all left me
standing at the first turn! Hey, I'm tryin.

I must disagree, I do not sustain any damage in crashes in ACE mode in
speeds up to 90mph particularly hitting barriers sideways. this really
annoys me.
