I've seen a lot of info on T1's through the newsgroup, and I know I'm ready
to get mine, but I have one more question for the masses....

The only game port in my system is the one on my SB16 card. Will this suffice
for the T1, or will I need any other add-on hardware that will NOT come with
the T1 itself. (ie. Y-adapter for the joystick port)

Aaron,
I'm using the T1 with the Thrustmaster ACM Game Card (It didn't
come with the T1) However I have run it through my SB16 game port with
no problems. You wont need anything other than what comes in the box.
The pedals plug into your game port and the steering wheel plugs into
the pedals (The cable from the pedals has a Y-connector built in).
BTW, I'm also with HQAF assigned to a FOA at Andrews. Where are you
stationed? Perhaps we can do a little racing over the modem. E-mail me
if you are interested.

I use the game port on my SB16 with the T1 and it works just dandy
on NASCAR and F1.

All I need now is a faster machine for NASCAR (my 468DX50 is OK, but I want
a CPU capable of using my VLB SVGA card at a decent frame rate).

BTW, for you NASCAR guys out there, how do you get onto these racing leagues?
(Maybe that is all answered on the Papyrus BBS which, if I could find the
number, I would call.)

Chris,

Thanks for the info. Now that I have all the facts, I'll soon have my T1
and hopefully a better control of the car. :)

I'm a contractor stationed onsite in the Pentagon, but I live south of
Northern VA. I have little time to play head2head these days, but maybe
we can do some later this summer. Just post here or email if interested.
