I've heard online with N-4 that some people cheat, how in the world is
that even possible?

I don't know if people are actually cheating, but yes, it's entirely
possible and I'd be surprised if everyone out there was 100% legit

First of all, it's close to impossible to make a system 100% safe, just
ask Pentagon and anyone else who is spending a small fortune on IT
security, and if it can be hacked, you can cheat, and with all the
clever people in the online racing community, I think it's a safe
assumption to say that some people have found ways to cheat, most of
them wouldn't dream of using it, some might .....

With N4 there were ways to cheat in past, and each patch released included fixes to prevent cheats
that had been discovered.  But I'm sure there are others.  If people have to cheat, then I guess
they aren't very good on-line racers....

Same thing happens with just about *every* online game.  Blizzard, for example,
has to keep patching Diablo II so that people don't create duplicates, or rip
off other players.
There's ALWAYS going to be a subset of people who feel that cheating others is
normal. :(

ROTF! Maybe we could just make a blanket statement and include all
politicians. We have a republican govenor here in IL that sure enjoys
cheating.  ;-)

Cheating in the Papy series of Nascar? I think that's part of the realism of
the sim. Although allot more beneficial in online racing than in real life.

Speaking of which, what's with these comments about Traction Control that I
heard pop up during last weeks "Trackside Chat" on Speed ?  This is the
first I've heard of it.

The insinuation was that some teams had figured out a way to incorporate it
that couldn't be caught?

Anyone else catch this ?
