That's not always true.  I run ICR2 from a DOS shell, while remaining in
Win 95.  I guess I mean a DOS box, or whatever the heck you call it, as
opposed to drop to DOS and run it.

However, I am using the non-rendition DOS ICR2, not the Win version.

The only time I really drop to DOS and run it is when I am running over
the modem and don't want to risk a) frame rate and b) dropping the
carrier.
