Hmm,

Well that stinks on ice.  I love my OR3D.  I can't stand Diamond
anything.  (I had a bad experience with them.....a few times).  So
looks like I can forget the OR3D II and start leaning towards the
Canopus stuff now.

Merger-Mania takes another one.

My thoughts exactly.  Until I upgrade to Voodoo2, I guess I'll be
sticking with the current release of the Orchid Righteous I drivers as
well, out of concern that any newer driver updates will be
"Diamond-ized" ...  :(

Amazing.

I would suspect Diamond is trying to level the playing field to
compete with Creative Labs.

I think Diamond already had the playing field sloping pretty much its way.
:-)

Stolen from the USMC. Jarheads from the early fifties will remember that any
recruit in boot camp who made the unforgivable mistake of calling his rifle
a "gun" would be ordered to march up and down the barracks, M1 at right
shoulder arms, while pointing alternately to the weapon and to his crotch
and repeating over and over and over and over,

"This is my rifle,
This is my gun.
This is for shooting,
This is for fun."
