will be 8-bit and not 16-bit.
Surely the game cannot over use my processor can it.
I am running a PIII 550 with a voodoo 3 5500. could it be
this percentage represents the combined processing of my
CPU and Graphics processor, as I hope, and not some mental
madnessss on my poor processor.
Tell me soon...I cant stop playing but I dont want to mash up my computer.

Also, when the PO goes over 100%, GP3 goes into slow-motion. So with the PO
on 200%, a 1:20 lap will take 2:40 to complete! Sounds hard to believe but
that's how GP3 (and GP2) is written.
Same with World Circuit (GP1).

It is normal as far as how the game was designed and operates.
As someone else mentioned, it just means that your
framerate will cause a GP3 laptime of 1:20 to warp
into a SloMo time of 2:40.
Also it does sound like something is amiss. I would check
your V5 options.

Because it isn't really *that* more advanced?
Because it isn't fully supported by games (i.e. no TnL)?
What about AMD-3dfx combos? ;-)

Are you using the frame-rate utility to enable the desired frame-rate to go
beyond the 25 fps limit? For comparison, my system is a P3-650 with V3 3000
AGP (having just sold my voodoo 5) and I use the frame-rate utility to run
the game at 36 fps and at 1024*768.
I'm able to run below 100% PO almost all the time, including races, although
only from the***pit view.

In general GP3 is running silky smooooth...I just built this system a couple
of days before and its the first time I jhad built a computer. I was
getting paranoid that I had not set something up properly and I was allowing
GP3 to overuse my
processor.
I understand what is going on with the processor usage figure now...thanks
for your help.
