Hi,
Do any of you using the Trustmaster GP1 in GPL,i do......and i'm having some questions about it!
it's easely out of balance especially when braking, and some times i have to turn the wheel slightly to
the left or right to keep the car in a straight track.
While the hands on the wheel on my screen seems to be right, and steer "normally".
I've tried to calibrate it over and over again, but with the same result.
Maybe it's just that the car act's different when it been of the track and hit the sides i don't know,
i couldn't find it anywhere in the manual,.....any of you???

I've got one and I've noticed something like this too. I just correct it
with my steering input. Sometimes it actually helps me get around
corners. Some times it doesn't happen. Might be the way the games reads
the wheel? Some times I restart and it goes away. Now I'm trying to
figure a way to engage the clutch with this wheel.  Now I just shift
when the engine is in the right rev range.

That's exactly what happens.. when you start hit the guard rails or
sidewalls, you can actually knock your steering out of alignment.  Just
check your drivers hands... it should always be nearly lined up with your
hands.  If your driver has to turn all the way right to go straight, then
you should be too.

If that's not the case.. check to make sure you are using the adapter with
your wheel.. (unless you recently bought it, it may not need it now)

Also.. make sure it is properly set up and calibrated in Windows, also
sometimes that plug tends to pop up a bit (the one that plugs into your base
from the steering wheel)

Don't bend your suspension <G>.  You may need to do some maintenance on
your GP1.  If when you calibrate the triangle bounces quite a bit, the
steering pot may need cleaning with some Electronic Tuner/Switch
cleaner.  You may also want to vist Alison Hine's site concerning the
GP1 and T2 wheels.
Here are some good sites to visit about fixing or upgrading your
ThrustMaster Wheels/Pedals.
