HAvent seen any mention of this new rallye game. Check out the movies and
screenshots of it at
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

I have played it and i must say the graphics and physics are almost INSANE
or PU quality!! Very challenging and a polished racing sim. You can adjust
your setups and have numerous tracks and vehicles available. If your into
rallye racing, this is a must have. Its the best rallye game ive played yet.

With all respect, I totally disagree with you.. I found it a very poor
game. Have you tried RC2000, Rally Trophy, Rally Masters or Colin
McRae 2? In that order, imho, they are the best rally sims you can
get.

Don't get me wrong, I like it that you like Master RallyE, but I'd
hate to see half of RAS rushing out to buy it, and then sending emails
to you asking how the hell you could recommend it here :)

RC2000 first? If you like to control the pivoting of a box that's your
choice Andre ;)

Thanks,
Alex

A rally game without a freaking in-car view? C'mon, now... it's passable
fun for a few minutes, but by no means the best rally game I've ever
played.

Very true Alex, physicswise Rally Trophy is ofcourse much better.
But nothing beats the long, narrow, realistic and still gorgeous
looking tracks of RC2000, giving me best all-round rallying
experience. With that physics patch the RC physics still suck, but
it's at least better than the original :)

There's Master Rallye AND Rally Masters?

Damn.  I thought they were the same game!

Screw it.  I'll just get Rally Trophy :)

I haven't gotten the full version but I'd have to agree the driving
model is pretty similar to Insane and Porsche Unleashed, which is not
a bad thing.  I usually don't go for arcade racers or lite sims but
Master Rallye is amazingly fun with great stages and physics that
aren't far off (just a bit too much grip and engine braking).  The
driving model is definitely the 3rd most realistic I've seen in a
rally sim (behind Rally Trophy and Rally Masters) and I'd put it dead
even with the way Rally Masters was before they patched it to fix the
torque curves/engine braking.  For $20 you can't go wrong imho.

No in-car view?

Sure looks like one to me.

Jason (yes I know there's not one in the demo)

I'm playing the final full version retail and there's no in-car view
that I can find. A bumper cam, yeah, but no***pit. Which sucks, 'cuz
the game would be a lot more fun with one.

That's from September 2000 when it was first announced. That was when it
looked like an AWESOME sim. Then, they dumbed it down, took out the***pit
view, etc. and made it suck :(

Thanks,
Alex

Whoa.

Maybe that screenshot is from the PS2 version?  Wow.  I was really
really looking forward to buying that and now...wow.  It's even being
promoted as a sim, I have no idea how they could not include an in-car
cam.  That is ridiculous.

I do remember someone posting in a previous thread that they enabled
the***pit view in the demo but I have no idea how they did it.  Guh,
now I guess I'll just wait for Rally Trophy.

Does anyone know when or where it will be available in the U.S.  I have
been searching everywhere since it was released and only EB even knows
it exists (of the major retail chains) although all 10 EBs in the
Dallas/Fort Worth area don't have any copies.  Finally got desperate
today and email Microids Sales folks trying to find out the US
distribution channel but don't have a reply yet.  Thanks for any info.
