At the next turn after hairpin, I went in too hot, hit banking, flipped
about 12 times, and landed smack dab next to a guy with a fire extinguisher.
HAHAHAHAHA.  too funny.
Nice track, thanks.

Am I the only one here to get a foul taste in my mouth when I crash horribly? I
almost turn away from the screen to avoid seing the horrible accident.

Hmm, does this make me a wuzz?

:-)

You're a big softie Nesoen. The Viking exterior is only a pose, isn't it?
;-)

Seriously, after all this time with GPL the moment I realise I'm gonna lose
it is still "pants filling". A brief moment of genuine fear, where one would
expect a gentle annoyance. Such is the immersion of GPL.

Hell, I've even had that happen to me on GP2!  LOL I lost it at the Indy road
course after brushing the gravel trap and was sliding for a hard left front
impact with the tyre wall, and I actually tensed up and crouched myself a
little lower in my chair.  :-)

Yep... those "launched into the air and straight for the barriers" moments
(like Barichello at Imola or Hakkinen at Adelaide) still make me wince in
GP2.

And after posting this, I was reminded of one of my accidents in GP2, and it
started me thinking about a new thread, the "creepiest moments in sims".
However implausible, I remember driving as Mika at Adelaide.  As I
approached the fast bend, my car suddenly went into a snap spin, rotated
through about 90 degrees and was launched over the kerbs and sideways into
the outside wall.  When I watched the replay, I saw that the cause of the
accident was a rear puncture.  When I watched the replay from the rollbar,
the image was disturbingly similar to Mika's actual accident.  It was a
*very* strange coincidence.

So, any other stories like this?  I know many of us deliberately tried to
duplicate Senna's crash at Imola using GP1 when the witch-hunt was on, but
has anyone else had any random events in their sim experience that were
uncomfortably close to a real event?

We had someone in out league have an 'incident'.  He was about to plow into
someone online.  He races(or raced) in real-life, and he pulled his legs up out
of instinct.  Banged his knee on his table....<ouch>

Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you
