GPL Oval Paintjobs

In light of the Ovals being converted I thought I would try my hand at making
some Indy 65-67 Paintjobs for the cars.  Right now I'm working on Graham Hills
1966 Indy Winner.  If you have any you'd like to see made let me know and if I
get enough response ill release a sort of carset.  If/when the AI are released
I'll consider a real carset.  Most of the cars will use the Eagle chassis since
its the closest to what was run at Indy in those years (aside from the V12
engine).  I might even give changing the 3D shape a whirl if I get enough
response.  If anyone is interrested in this let me know.  If your willing to
help then thats even better.

Chris, how about considering using the Brabham?  The wheelbase is almost
identical to the Brawner-Brabham and the engine/exhaust arrangement similar
to that of the Ford V8 so widely used from 1965.

That is a great idea! What sources are you using? Do you have some old
programs? I may have one from 1966 if it would be of help.
Do you know if Dave Noonan or anyone else is actually working on a converter
for the Indy from N3 to GPL?
Definitely interested and willing to help, although time may be a constraint
on me right now.

I will probably use almost all the cars in GPL when all is said and done.  Only
cars I may omit is the Cooper and Honda.  The BRM (albeit with SERIOUS
modifications) I will probably use for the Roadsters if I decide to make them.

Wunderbar, mate!!
If I can be of the slightest assistance (getting coffee, sweeping the floor,
etc.) don't hesitate to ask.

Seriously, I'd be pleased to help in any small way that I can.

Well I'm pleased to announce one car is in the final stages of development.
Jim Clarks 1966 STP sponsered Lotus.  Ive used the Brabham Chassis as per you
suggestiong and it looks fabulous!!  I actually managed to get a near perfect
semi dayglo red for it.  All I need now is add the sponser decals.  The Graham
Hill car is now finished but temporarily on hold because of problems with
converting 24-bit to 16-color bitmaps.  Hopefully I'll have that all sorted out
soon.  If you have larger pictures of ANY 63-67 Indy cars I would be grateful
if you could scan them in and send em on.  I also need a place I can post the
cars once finished but that might be a ways off.

I've got a couple of Dave Friedman's photo collections here, together with
some other sources of pix.  I'll do what I can for you over this weekend,
Chris.

If you go to The Pits you will find a set of Brabham and Coventry with
new paint schemes that are very similar to those used in the late 60's.
They are in the GPL section and are in .BMP format. Just add numbers
and detailing as you wish.
