GPL: A very bizarre problem

by Bill Met » Tue, 28 Dec 1999 04:00:00

Quite simply stated, I can't change teams.  I switched to the Cooper to
do some setup experimenting and now I can't change back to anything else.
The Team Information screen appears to function just fine.  I can use the
forward/back arrows to change to a different team and hit the green button
just fine.  But if I go into practice, a new race, or back into the Team
Information screen, I've been put back into the Cooper.  Very wierd!
Other than an upgraded mip for driver faces (which I've been running
for a long time), I'm not running any add-on's. I haven't changed anything
in GPL or my system either.  This behavior just started happening.  I'm
thinking that maybe a file somewhere accidently got flagged read-ony, but
I wouldn't know what to look for.  Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Found it.  For some bizarre reason, my player.ini was marked read-only.
Oh, and I meant "player information" screen not the "team information"
screen.

Perhaps you copied it from CD-ROM?
