game, but the sport in general. My first auto simulator game was
Indycar racing. The same time I got Indycar, I also got a CH Virtual
Pilot steering wheel. This game was great and I was very happy. I
soon learned that Papyrus would release a game called NASCAR. I could
not wait. I was told that the game would be best played on a 486/66
with the CD version. I only had a 386/25 at the time but wanted to try
it anyway. Turning off all graghics the game played rather well. But
the game was one reason I chose to buy a new 100mhz Pentium. The game,
of course was better. Later I found this newsgroup and started asking
questions about pedals I should buy. With the help of you fine people,
this week I purchased the CH Pedals. Neither my steering wheel or
pedals are "PRO". I am in love with my setup, I am very happy with what
I have. I've even found other people who are allowing me to download
carsets they've created. Who could want more. I check this newsgroup
almost daily to see whats new. I have been reading about this ICR2
thats coming out soon. Ithough, I don't need it, I will not buy it.
I'm happy with what I've got. But ya'll got the best of me and when
I read there was a demo out, I though I would find it and see what
it was about. Let me say this, I've trird it and thi is the most
wonderful driving simulator I've ever played. This game impressed
me more than NASCAR. The graphics are clear, crisp, and smooth. (I'm
sure you've all read that) One thing that caught my attention was the
accelerator response and sound. I only played the game for about 30
minutes so I could post this message.
Bottom line, If stores stayed open past midnight for the release of
this game, (like they did for Windows 95) I would be one of the
first people in line to buy it at 12:01.
I hope this message express my feeling as much as it is long. Sorry
it was so long, but I was trying to Paint the picture in 64k of
colors.
As always,
Your friend,
Greg
