I would like to know this as well!... I am told however, from some kind of
public rep. from Microprose themselves that they are Not currently working
on WC2, and have no immediate plans to do so.     8-[ !

Please MicroProse!!!  Don't leave us without our World Circuit 2 !!!

It's a far better sim than ICR (IMO! OK?), yet it needs to be redone,
please, oh please?!..

World Circuit 2  needs:

Better robot-car intellgence.
Better Wet-Race ability.  (robot cars all are WAY better than any human!)
Better Driver feel for the road/car.
More sensitive car damage. + Ability to damage car yourself.
  (Like over reving the engine!)
Better graphics.  (Note: this is on the bottom of the list!)

It needs the ability to be able to damage cars realistically!  How many
eg the ridiculous passing maneuver of ramming opponents cars up the
rear coming into a corner, thus forcing them off the line and allowing
you to drive around the inside, this would have disastrous effects on
the front wing, but no, off you tootle undamaged.

Some kind of black flag process for offences such as the above, and
general deliberate crashes.
More and better flags all round.
Computer cars that know when they are being lapped

the list goes on.

We need an F1 SIMULATION more than an F1 GAME.  Why don't the people who
did indycar just change the few relevant pieces of code and release an
equally good F1 game?

I bet there are many people out there who could find a number of errors with
ICR too. I don't think a perfect race sim will ever be made! Some think F1GP
is the best, others think there's nothing lik ICR. Personally, I think they
both are good sims. You need physical feedback for the perfect race sim.

What it really needs is to show the time difference between you, the can
in front and behind. It's difficult to judge tactics without this info.

F1GP already does this! Use the "G" key to get this information. You probably
have an older version that does not have this feature.

I must have one of the earliest copies - I ordered it before the game was
actually released (on the Amiga) - I'm buying a Pentium PC in a couple of
months so I'll probably buy an up to date PC copy. Do you know if
Microprose will upgrade my version and how I can tell the version no from
the packaging ?
