I would propose, as an alternative to using the bandwidth on the
newsgroup, that you send your .PCX's to Leo and Shannon's Homepage
(http://www.mindspring.com/~leo/leo.htm). Leo has a lot of great cars
on the site, and maybe if you are lucky your design would get
nominated for inclusion in one of the IWCCCARS Project sets! (I know,
big thrill, but hey, it's better than deleting it!)
Just an idea.

Maybe a 'rec.autos.simulators.binaries' group is in order? I don't know
how to go about creating a group, but it seems like a good idea to me.
I vote to create " rec.autos.simulators.binaries " until then I will
continue to use this group because it is the closest group to the
subject matter.

There already exists a group alt.binaries.games
Post your pcx files in the above group
Post an announcement in this group alerting us to the fact that there is
a file in alt.binaries.games (remember to mention the subject line).

Okay, I took myself up on my offer. As a test I have posted 3 files to
alt.binaries.games.
One is the Folgers Ford I drive in NASCAR. It is my enhanced SVGA
version over one I found on AOL:
Subject: NASCAR: Homage to Tim Richmond (nasc94.zip)
Newsgroups: alt.binaries.games
One is an homage car I drive in ICR2 to Jerry Garcia and The Grateful
Dead. I know that no one probably cares, but since the band officially
quit 12/08/95, I figured it would be an okay test to post:
Subject: ICR2: Homage to Grateful Dead car (ind95.zip)
Newsgroups: alt.binaries.games
The last is the ICR2 Paintkit patch found at ftp.std.com, which only
seems to fix the spine coloring problem on the engine cowling:
Subject: ICR2: Paintkit Patch (patchpkt.com)
Newsgroups: alt.binaries.games
If this works for you all out there give us some feedback. If it
doesn't I guess we need some feedback also.

I read the announcement message in rec.autos.simulators today and go
look for the files in alt.binaries.games and I can't find them.
It looks like this isn't going to work for me...
