Steering wheel power?

Steering wheel power?

Right now I am using a Thrustmaster Grand Prix 1 to play Nascar Racing.
Basically what happens is this:  I come up on the turn, and usually, I
start to turn the wheel and the car goes flying down into the turn
far enough to hit the grass.  To avoid this I ease off of the steering
wheel, but we're talking fractions of a degree.  It feels like I have
power steering, basically.  How can I get my steering wheel to react
less sensitively under DOS?

PS Robert Caranica, if you're reading this, thank you for sending me
a copy of the IMS.  It works great!  I tried to reply to your mail but
it would not go through.

Have you lowered the "steering lock" in the garage/carsetup screen?  It
sounds like you have too much lock.  The default ranges with the stock
setups are setup more for joystick input.

I assume you are racing Nascar 2. If so you should be using
"Joystick" for input divice instead of "Wheel".
Joystick is far less touchy.
Just an thought.
