like many of you, I hated ovals. I really did, until I got bored with
tracks because of the twists and turns and sometimes motion sickness. One
word.. MICHIGAN.. damn.. you actually feel the speed when you're racing
this beast! Ovals are cool.. lots of space.. lots of traffic and lots of
speed. The best part is trying not to run into a slow car while having a
heated race with Al Unser Jr. Do you know how many ways to make a turn?
:).. try running on one of the ovals to find out

I'll second that motion. Michigan rocks. In real life, the IndyLights
just raced there for the first time this year and those guys were
ecstatic.  They said that it was the most fun that they've had in
years. Just making those turns at 200+mph  is reason enough. I don't
know how a real driver could hang in there for so many laps, but I
love it.
I know, I know, you vets out there have known about this for years,
but hey, I'm new to all of this.

Thanks

I used to think that too (back in ICR1 days), but Nascar (1) changed
my mind. ICR2 (Nazareth) even more in fact. It was soooo exhilarating
always being in the thick of it on an oval, mixing fuel stops/tyre
changes with a long race of short laps. Thoroughly entertaining stuff.
