(I still want a 1967 champcar mod, tho, so I can live out my Mario
Andretti fantasies :)

The cars that would never be able to finish a race without falling
apart? :)
Bruce.

Or maybe Formula Hemi. But then of course DC would call out the lawyers...

Interesting mod; bit of an oddity in the GPL firmament in that it's not
intended to be historically accurate. But it's quite fun nonetheless. It'd
be interesting to see what the TC chassis alone would feel like with maybe a
'67 DFV in back. As is, the things have so much motor that the power
completely dominates the driving experience. First thing I thought of in my
initial outing was that it reminded me of going from a 250 to a 500 back in
my motocross days. Everything *looked* about the same, but; A) you
suddenly developed a lot more respect for the throttle, and B) your old
braking points no longer applied!
I'd have preferred they left the wings off the first release since they
don't do anything yet, but I gather downforce is in the pipeline for a later
update. They sure need some; as is, there's such extreme weight transfer
that the front end has a tough time finding bite if the rears are getting
any. Bet with stickier tires the darned things would do wheelies.

Sounds cool Dave. How about a Tyrell-Ford P34? I keep hoping someone will
mod one up for us.
