I know that this questions must have been answered like a million time
before but where in the world can I find a copy of ICR1 INDY expansion
pack CD so I can run it with ICR2 (Any chances to find them in Quebec?)
???  BTW, is it still illegal to send a copy of this track to someone, I
mean, how can they loose money because of this if I can't even find a
copy of this CD???

P.S. I know there is a lot of better games and tracks than this but my
old P75 can only handle GP2, ICR2 and barely runs N99 in DOS MODE :o(

Don't know that I want to start this thread... but...  TECHNICALLY
(which is MUCH different from "realistically") the publisher can place
virtually any limitation on licensing their product they want (in the US).
They're certainly unlikely to "come after you," but it's still not legal to
copy software just because it's no longer in print.  I'm pretty sure their
rights do not expire.

Any rights will expire someday and become public domain no ?  I would
speculate it's pretty long for software, probably half a century.  The
Indianapolis Expansion disk for Icr1 is no more in production since years
and I say 99.9999999999% impossible to find in any, any store ;)

From what I recall, Papy removed all the expansion packs last year. Im not
exactly sure why, but I assumed that the license expired, (but then regained
for N3 IMS). But during that time, the product was removed off shelves. I
distincly remember a stack of the expansion pack boxes on the table at the
office with a big "FREE" sign on them, during that same time frame. Then
again, Ive been wrong before.... a lot :-)

What does that mean? nothing really, just I doubt you will be able to find
one on the shelf. I personally gave mine away a while back to someone
looking for it on r.a.s.... oops, did I say that out loud?

Your talking about the original IndyCar Racing expansion packs Tim ? Im
almost sure they are clearly out-of-production since years, and the only
place where you could buy them (not used-software) was at the Indy track
boutique.

They still have all the expansion pack possible up here, even the N1 one (at
a laughing 39$!)

He already has it now ;)

I think if you wait about fifty years or so you can copy it.  I would have
to dig out my old dusty law books, but everything has an eypiry
date: patents, trademarks, copyright.
