Is there a faq for this newsgroup?  In particular, I'd like to learn what
an automotive simulator is.

The only version I can find is rather our of date:

http://www.cs.uu.nl/wais/html/na-dir/autos/simulators/introduction.html

We talk (argue?) about programs that run on computers that simulate
the driving experience.

In general, 95% of the time that equates to programs that run on
IBM-compatible PCs that let us believe we are race- or rally-car
drivers.

An 'automotive simulator' is a small knife used to the the native of the
Amazonian Basin to castrate hot-lappers.

Unless your name is Seinfeld and you have an American audience, then it
doesn't matter  ;)

Agreed, what a ***show that is. 'Crap' could be used to describe
pretty much all US comedy, apart from the cartoon stuff like The
Simpsons, South Park etc. which are ***y IMO.

Why do you come here and start picking on us poor americans :-)  Insecurity
breeds contempt..

Seriously though Seinfeld is funny to me.  Maybe you don't *get* his humor
but why come to RAS and insult people that do?  Do I insult your country
here on RAS?

<Grin> If you took *that* as an insult, I suggest growing a sense of
humor (and a feel for smileys  ;)
