Comment on Thrustmaster

I'd just like to give everyone a comment on Thrustmaster.  A couple of
nights ago I got ready to race a friend and sat down at the computer
and started up nascar.  Pushed the accel. and heard **pop** as a metal
spring started bouncing around.... damn was I pissed...no racing
tonight... so the next morning I got on thrustmaster's home page and
saw their service dept had a form for reporting problems.  Sent my
request in for a new spring and instructios (on a limited edition t1,
over 1 year old) and 3.45 hours later I had mail from them telling me
that I was being mailed multiple springs and screws (to replace the
poprivets).

finally someone that supports their equipment...and in an unbelieve
fashion!

You don't find service like that any more...I must say thanks!

and my arms thank you too..it's hard racing with a steering wheel and
keys as gas/brake :)

All I ask is a chance to prove that money can't make me happy.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

calibrate correctly.  I also emailed Thrustmaster and an hour later had
a response and the part was in the mail!  This happened on a thurs.
and the part was in my hands on monday morning! Clear on the other side
of the country. My helmets off to the people at Thrustmaster...

Not to take away from Thrustmaster, but they aren't the only ones who
provide excellent support. Last year, we had a couple of CH Flightstick
Pro's that had broken springs. I sent email to CH Products and received an
email response the same day and had the springs a couple of days later.

I had the same problem, my brake went to the floor and never came back up.
I also had a problem with the steering pot.  They responded right away
and are sending the need parts.

Thumbs Ups to Thrustmaster's service department!!!!

Better yet, go ahead and have them send you replacement parts for everything (or at
the very least a spare set of springs).  That way in case something else goes wrong
you will already have the parts on hand to fix it.

THEIR EXPENSE!  Great Service.

I've heard people suggesting putting a block of wood behind the pedals
to keep them from going down all the way on the T2, which prevents spring
problems.  Question is: How tall of a piece would you suggest, considering
it placed flush against the back?
