BURNOUT no sound??? Pleas Help>>>>>>

Hello guys,
I just bought the game set it up and then tried to setup sound get thur the
sound setup ok. Then  try to run game and it says "SOUND CARD FAILED TO
INITIALIZE" then it goes to the "CD" movie WITH NO sound ? If I hit "ESC"
then if I try to run the game>I get a message that say somthing about needs
more Conventional memory. I dont know how to get around this??
 Like like I've got a $ 50:00 coaster..:(

     Thanks in advance if you know how to fix this problem

 P200 MMX
64 meg ram
awe 64 sound card
intense 3D 100 video card (not 3dFX)
