In my opinion, YES. This game goes where others have not. It's a fantastic
game, and will be a huge hit. Bastard to catch the rear when it goes though!

Well, after about half an hour with the Lotus G3 I got my laptimes down to
about 1:35-40ish. I thought well, not quite got the hang yet, but I WANNA
TRY A GP CAR! so off I go, set off out the pit lane, oh dear I'm pointing
the wrong way. Nevermind, try again, oh, oops. back to the G3 for more
practice methinks :-)
On a happier note I've almost got the hang of power sliding!!! Yippee!
Steve
Yep, I would have to say so.
I fell in love with these cars in the 60's. Now
I can drive them myself. Cool.

Between now and the final product, many things can happen. You
haven't even tested the AI yet. If the AI is similar to CPR, then
this game will be worthless.
We also don't know about framerate. It's damn smooth now, but we have
to see it with all other cars on the track. Plus, I think some
graphics enhancements need to be done on some of the background
(trees, etc), which will bring the framerate down a bit.
When finished, we don't know if there will be any irratating bugs that
will ruin the game (ie. crashing, graphical glitches, etc).
However, I think it's safe to say the car physics are top-notch. It
probably won't get worse, and may even get better.
I'm pretty sure it will be a great sim, but (like I said) it really is
too early to judge.

Papy would have to regress on the physics to put it in the same
category as CPR. The demo is already more fun than the full product of
CPR, IMO at least.
Keep 'em on their toes :-) Hopefully the rest of the sim can live up
to the quality of what is in the demo.
Cheers!
John
GPL will be a nice alternative to F1RS. It won't replace it (apple
and oranges ya know), but it will lessen the amount of time I get to
play it.
GPL for the awesome physics and the sense of nostalgia (even though
I'm only 28), and F1RS for the adreneline rush and power of todays
cars. I think that will quench my thirst for driving simulations for
a while to come.
Marc.
