Serious about the question?
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is NASCAR's third division (after the
Winston Cup and Busch Grand National series). The primary sponsor that
gives the name of the series is SEARS Craftsman, which is the tools division
of Sears, Roebuck and Co.
The trucks they use are full-size pickup trucks since 1994, with over 700
horsepower. Dodge, Chevrolet and Ford are the truck manufacturers of the
series. It's probably the best series if you want to see door-to-door tough
action on very short ovals and two road tracks.

I'm not sure if you have access to the main 4 US channels in the UK
(ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX) but 3 times per year CBS shows a telecast of the series,
and for me it's the best oval racing I see each year.

They're just as much "trucks" as the NASCARs are "saloon cars"....<g>
I'm looking forward to "Craftsman SUVs"....:-D
Hey, anyone remember the original "Supervan"? A transit on steroids! Not to
mention the later version, a Ford C-100 Group C car, Cosworth DFV, and a
fibreglass Transit body.....Nice for picking up some new furniture at the
local....
Matt
The most impressive "van" I remember from relatively recently is the
hyped-up Renault people carrier thing that goes like the wind. Had thei F1
engine in it I think?

Yep, I wouldn't be surprised to see a SUV support series soon too...then how
would they set up the classes? Would it be Explorer vs Blazer vs Durango or
Excursion vs Suburban or...?

A spare so they can complete at least one lap? ;-)

Featured in the PlayStation game "Gran Turismo 2".
As a game, Gran Turismo 2 is better as a car simulator, actually.
Great physics, shame about the AI.
Adrian.
Also, they have the best race at Daytona Speedway anymore! They can actually
use the old slingshot passes. Looks like Daytona in the good ol' days before
restrictor plates...
