What do you think is most important here..  The Forced Pit Stop or
making themrun at full fuel load...    I can always look at the PIT
WINDOWS in the
track.txt file and see if I can find a common ground...

What do you think ALEC F...

NASCAR 2 OFF-LINE CHAMPIONSHIP

     Subject:        NASCAR 2 OFF-LINE CHAMPIONSHIP

We've seen it and heard it all before that people who dont
understand the
value of FASTLAP think you are all a bunch of one lap wonders.  I
read the
post that say that you cant take a qualifying setup and use it in a
race.
No Kidding, but if you know how to make a fast qualifying setups it
has
been well documented that you also know how to make a good race
setup.
I know there is alot of very talented drivers out thier that dont
qualify very
well.  Now here is a chance for them to see how they stack up.
IVGA
numbers are optional, but if you enter you should use your real
name.

     Long Story Short Here.

We are going to hold a NASCAR 2 Off-Line Championship that will be
run
at all 16 tracks to determine the best drivers.  This contest is
open to
     anyone that dares to race.

You can enter this contest as many times as you want and it will be
22% Long, nominally
102%, and 70 degrees with 0 wind.  The results will be posted until

NASCAR 3 is released. Than we will do it all over again with NASCAR
3.

Now the conditions will all be the same and you will be required to

qualify and run in a 39 car field.  22% race is long enough to
determine
if you know something about RACE setups and driving as well.   I
think
we can label this the NASCAR 2 OFF-LINE Championship - NOC2.

We are in the process of making up the races now and we will have
them
ready for download this week.  I am confering with Dave Martin and
Joe
Farr as they run the longer races. I would certainly like any input
to
make this as competitive as possible.  Several NASCAR 2
enhancements
like improved AI's are of interest to us.

MY PREDICTION!!  Those that can qualify and start mid pack or pole
in a
bunch of metal eating crazed AI cars will stand a good chance of
winning
this. Those who can't are have to weave your way through 39 cars,
good
     luck!!!!

Please email all suggestions and if you want to partcipate to:

This should serve as a good warm up to get some preliminary
rankings as
to who really is going to have the speed for the NRO!!!!!!

Don make the races longer than 22% make them atleast 50% or close to it so
we can have pitstops, because as you know the key to a good fast setup is
having a fast setup that will last a full fuel load.Like mY Dega setup I can
run 195's with no draft and 196's with draft for 44 laps (full fuel load) at
91 degrees.Because when and if the NRO gets here thats going to be the key
to winning races is qualifing and have setups that will last a full fuel
load on tires and still be fast.Like Pocono for example Yeah a guy my be
able to qualify at 169 to 171 but if he tries to race at that speed he will
have his tires burned out with in a half a fuel run.Where if you run high
165's to low 167's you can have your tires run a full fuel load and have a
faster race average and catch like sprint car : ) and walk off from
him.Atleast thats what I'm thinking and working on.
